About Michael R. Cook
Michael R. Cook, Esq. is a Florida Attorney licensed to practice law since 2002. He represents individuals accused of state crimes in Brevard County. Mr. Cook graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a degree in Legal Studies. He later attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree. While at F.C.S.L. Mr. Cook was a Student Legislator, Clerk of the Honor Court, a member of the Mock Trial Team, and a member of the Sigma Delta Kappa Intercollegiate law fraternity. Additionally, while in law school Mr. Cook completed an internship with the Office of the Public Defender Repeat Offender Division (ROC) in the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

After Graduating Law School, Mr. Cook returned home to Brevard County where he accepted a position with the Office of the Public Defender as an Assistant Public Defender where he worked for the next 14 months. Mr. Cook was offered and accepted a job in the private sector with Vance, Lotane & Bookhardt, PA. where he practiced as a statewide civil trial attorney for one of the largest Insurance Companies in the nation for the next six and a half years. During this time Mr. Cook tried over 75 cases in the Civil arena.
In August of 2010 Mr. Cook returned to his passion, namely Criminal Defense and accepted employment at Bross, Bross, Thomas & Savy, PLLC where he worked directly with one of the preeminent Criminal Law Attorneys in the Central Florida law area. During his tenure at this firm Mr. Cook has assisted and Co-Counseled Jury trials resulting in acquittal on charges ranging from First Degree Premeditated Murder to Armed Sexual Battery, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, False Imprisonment, Aggravated Assault, Vehicular Homicide, DUI Manslaughter amongst other offenses. In October of 2021 Mr. Cook and Patrick Landy, Jr. Esq. decided to join forces and formed the Law firm of Cook & Landy, PLLC with the goal of continuing the legacy of offering unsurpassed legal representation in the areas of Criminal Defense and Personal Injury.
